The high valley with the places Vorderlanersbach, Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux wait you with a variety of sports like skiing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, ice skating or curling!
A total of 202 km prepared slopes, 65 modern lifts and cable cars, 30 rustic huts are the perfect basis for a skiing holiday in Tux.
Away from the slopes, the Tuxertal offers you 68 km of prepared winter hiking trails, 28 km of cross-country ski trails, 2 illuminated toboggan runs and a natural ice rink with curling rinks.
Due to the optimal altitude in the valley of 1.300 m to 1.500 m and in the ski areas from 2.300 to 3.250 m, snow is 100% guaranteed from October to May!
The Zillertal 3000 ski and glacier area combines the Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg with the Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn ski areas.
From the beginning of December to mid-April, the guaranteed snow and 202 kilometers of prepared slopes let the heart of a winter sports enthusiast beat faster. From the challenging and varied Eggalm area to the sunny Rastkogel plateau, continue via the panorama descent or the 150er Tux cable car to the Penken "entertainment district" with the Vans Penken Park and the Harakiri descent and numerous places to stop for refreshments.
Three slopes back to the valleys Hintertux, Lanersbach or Vorderlanersbach care for the perfect end of a day of skiing.
Our house is the perfect place for you! The trail in Madseit is known the most beautiful in the Tux valley. The view to the Hintertux Glacier and the Rastkogel is incredible. And the biggest benefit, you only must cross the street and you are right on the trail.
14 km of classic trails and 14 km of skating trails await you from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit.Cross-country skiing lessons are offered by the ski schools and equipment is also available at all sports shops.
The trail is being repaired by the Tux-Finkenberg Tourist Office and is available to you free of charge.
Cross-country skiing is healthy! It is easy on the joints and not only trains the leg and torso muscles but also the shoulder girdle and arms, which are often forgotten.
The Tux valley offers you 68 km of winter hiking trails. Whether in the valley or on the mountains. Especially the winter hiking trails to the Eggalm in Lanersbach or to the Sommerbergalm in Hintertux are fantastic!
Those who prefer to experience of the great view in a leisurely walk can take the cable cars to the individual mountain stations and walk back to the valley.
The Penkenjoch hiking trail in Finkenberg is a XXL offer for pedestrians and includes the Bergwaldweg and the Penken winter hiking trail with flexible use of 4 mountain railways of your choice.
Or would you like to try a snowshoe hike? Experienced mountain guides will accompany you to the most beautiful places. No previous knowledge is required for snowshoe hiking, the tours are offered in different levels of difficulty, so that nobody is denied this unique experience.

Bichlalm in Hintertux - you can reach the hut on foot from Madseit in approx. 1h30min and from Hintertux in approx. 1h.
Höllensteinhütte in Lanersbach - At the bus stop Hinteranger you start a leisurely hike to the hut. You can reach this in about 1h30min.Please check the fixed tobogganing times at the Höllensteinhütte, and don´t forge you must wear a helmet to toboggan!
Both runs are illuminated in the evening. Combine a delicious dinner with a cozy evening in the hut and whiz back down into the valley on the toboggan. From the Bichlalm you can toboggan directly back to Madseit.
Use the free Sportbus or Nightliner (2€ per person), or order a taxi to go to the starting point in Hintertux or Lanersbach and back.

Located near the last section of the Schwarze Pfanne valley run in Hintertux. Gletscherfloh Luis supports beginners in its practice area with people movers, beginners' lifts and a carousel.
